I've been looking through your gallery and I must say, I love the contrast between the ponies and their surroundings. I'm not really sure how to describe it, but one of the things I love most in works is the subject and how their surroundings work with them.
Maybe it's the clearness of the ponies versus the painting-like background, but this is great. Good job, it makes me very jealous of your skills XD
This is probably one of my favourite drawing in your gallery. I mean, this is truly beautiful. All the details, like the little houses, the river, the beautifuly done grass on the right, the mountains, the trees, ... just... wow ! And the pony's perfect, of course ! This is a really peaceful piece of art (as "This moment" and "Moonlight"). Just perfect to me.

That statement is not true at all. A lot of things will be considered heavy for anything that can fly because adding mass will reduce its aerodynamic performance.
This statement would be more accurate: "Nothing is heavy for those that remain on solid ground."
Weight is much less an issue for something ground based. Compare elephants (the heaviest land animal) to Kori Bustard (the heaviest flying bird). An elephant mass ranges from about 10,000 lbs to 13,000 lbs. A Kori Bustard's mass can range from 9.5 to 15 lbs. Clearly weight is much less an issue for flightless species.
An even more true statement would be: "Nothing is heavy to those in water."
The most massive species in the world is the blue whale. Weighing in at 200 tons, it clearly doesn't mind packing on the pounds.
